Google Project Glass: Augmented reality glasses take the next step

Google has started a new page on Google Plus to share their vision of what its augmented reality glasses could be. They are soliciting suggestions from users on what they would like to see from Project Glass.

“We think technology should work for you—to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t.

A group of us from Google[x] started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input. So we took a few design photos to show what this technology could look like and created a video to demonstrate what it might enable you to do.”

Infographic highlighting tax dollars wasted on ineffective TSA technology and procedures.

Check out this eye-opening Infographic outlining tax dollars spent on the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), to a large extent to fund ineffective security procedures and technology. The infographic which highlights many of the TSA deficiencies was put together by using a variety of sources including the Washington Post, NYTimes, USA Today, CBS and MSNBC news.

Of note to Android aficionados, DYZPlastic, which is a division of Dead Zebra produces a limited series of custom Andy the Robot Android collectibles designed by various artists. Series 02 photo preview updated 03/09/11. Collectibles are  scheduled to go on sale Thursday 03/10/11 at 11:00 PM EST according to Android Community website.

Media business changes create opportunities!

The widely held premise on the impending demise of the newspaper industry reminds me of the Mark Twain quote: “The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.” I recently attended a newspaper teleconference hosted by Larry Maynard, a 40-year newspaper and advertising executive, that brought this canard into sharp focus.
