Technology-Headlines

The Nemus Camera Beta by Nemustech.Kr.Android for Android features ‘What You See is What You Get’ (WYSIWYG) Camera effects.

The application currently features seventeen effects of which you can preview 9 of your favorites simultaneously. All the previews effects are rendered live simultaneously on your screen. The interface couldn’t be easier, point the camera at your subject then choose the effect by tapping on the WYSIWYG preview. The screen will then preview that effect full screen, press the shutter button and you’re done. The effects are reminiscent of the Apple photo booth application.

The Nemus Camera effects include:

  1. Normal
  2. Twirl
  3. Light Tunnel
  4. Mirror
  5. Infra red
  6. Convex
  7. Squeeze
  8. Stretch
  9. Squeeze Dual
  10. Pencil Sketch
  11. Big Face
  12. Edges
  13. Pattern Batching
  14. Retro
  15. Color Skin
  16. Pop Art
  17. Kaleidoscope

The developer Nemustech.Kr.Android recommends that the application be used with ‘High Performance’ devices only. Nemus Camera app supports phones running Android 2.2 or higher (2.3 is required for phones with front facing cameras).

The developer has a list of tested device but I recommend you download and try the app for yourself. The HTC Sensation was not on the tested list but it works beautifully. I’ve added it to the list. If you have an unlisted device and try the application drop us an email or post a comment below. I will be happy to forward an updated list to the developer.

Tested Devices include:

– Motorola XOOM
– Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
– Samsung Galaxy Tab (7″)
– Motorola Atrix
– LG Optimus 2X/ LG G2X
– Samsung Galaxy S II
– Samsung Galaxy S (with C110, OMAP model-I9003- not supported)
– HTC Desire HD
– HTC Desire – NOT recommended
– HTC Sensation 4G
