by George Heymann

We recently covered the digital music scene, with a story highlighting the myriad of digital music services including the Music Beta by Google. Google has sweetened the proverbial pot by adding Magnifier as part of its Music Beta.

Magnifier features a new artist everyday, and allows you to add the featured music to your library with a single click, free of charge. Magnifier also allows you to select groups of songs from your favorite genres, and select titles from previously highlighted artist by some of the biggest names in Rock, Pop, Alt/Indie, Hip-Hop/Rap and more.

Some of the featured tracks includes favorites from Blood, Sweat & Tears, Alice Cooper, Cheap Trick, Elvis Presley, Blue Oyster Cult, John Meyer, Johnny Cash, Carrie Underwood, Jimmy Cliff, Tito Puente, John Legend, Al Green, Frank Sinatra, Outkast, Run-D.M.C., Tony Bennett just to name a few.

There’s literally something for everybody to enjoy. Best of all, the free music from Magnifier once selected is instantly added to your Google Music account, no download is necessary.

Point your browser to the Magnifier Blog to check out the song of the day as well as the featured artist spotlight, then visit Googles free song archive to pick up the previously featured songs in your favorite genres that you may have missed.
