The capture of the Doughertys’ in Colorado yesterday morning made national news headlines. The manhunt came to an end Wednesday after a high speed chase and gunfire ended in a crash on Interstate 25 in Walsenburg. As usual the Chieftain was there to cover all facets of the story.
Hearing first hand accounts of some of the events leading up to the capture of the Dougherty siblings made the experience a bit surreal. Being a small part of the news coverage made for a very interesting afternoon.
