Troubleshooting support page for Windows Phone 7 update goes live

by George Heymann

Although no official date has yet been made public, Microsoft has posted a troubleshooting page to help users solve possible problems with applying the upcoming WP7 update, indicating that the release is inching closer.

The troubleshooting page includes several step-by-step guides for fixing common update problems as well as a Fix-it-for-me wizard that will attempt to troubleshoot and repair any problems that may arise for you.

The WP7 updates are going to be handled through the Microsoft Zune software on the PC. If you don’t already have it installed you may want to download the software from the Zune website in anticipation of the update. If you have a Mac, you will have to install the Windows Phone Connector in order to update your phone.

Hopefully Microsoft will not do any additional backtracking on the release dates, these updates are already way past due as far as I’m concerned. Hurry Microsoft, hurry!

For additional information see the Microsoft Phone updates page .
